The Lensmaster Lounge / Plagiarism -- a minor caution
There've been a number of threads lately on people decrying all the plagiarism on Squidoo lenses, and requesting that we report these lenses to HQ. I do agree that it's a huge problem. But there's also the issue of people copying content from Squidoo lenses and using it for their own blogs and websites. How can you tell if a person's lens is the original and not the copy? Sometimes I'm sure it's very apparent. But I've had a couple lenses (that I know of) copied by others and put up on their website, and in one case when I copied part of my text into Google search, their website came up before my own lens on Google. How would the casual searcher know that my lens is the original and not the copy?
